With the full release of CS2, the option to watch match history from game menu is possible. You can also download and watch game demos in game. The process is similar to CS:GO.

To watch CS2 game demos follow this process:

1.Look for the Watch Matches and Tournaments tab.

2.There, you will find your previous matches listed under Your Matches.

3. Choose the match you are looking for and Press on the Download button from bottom right corner.

4. Your matches will be saved and you can review the demo from in game.

Note: The demo download and view process in-game is bugged right now. So, you can not access your match demos following this process currently. We hope this will be fixed in later patches. However, You will only find eight recent matches, including your premier and wingman matches. So, if you wish to review any Premier matches before that, you can not. Fortunately, there is another procedure that you can follow to download demos of older Premier matches.

How to Download and Watch Premier Match Demo in Counter-Strike 2

First, you must access your Personal Game Data through the Profile section. There, you’ll find your previous CS 2 match demos under the Premier Matches tab. From there, you can download the CS 2 demo file and use the in-game console command to watch it via the demo viewer.

Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to download and watch Premier Match demo in Counter-Strike 2:

First, log in to your Steam ID, enter your name tab, and click on Profile.

Now click on Games from the right-hand side and find ”Counter-Strike: Global Offensive” under the All Games section.

Click on My Game Stats and choose Personal Game Data from the drop-down menu.

On the next tab select Premier Matches and press on Load More History. You will be able to see the history of all your premier matches.

Scroll to your desired game and click on Download GOTV Replay from the left side. This will download the demo.

Unzip the downloaded demo to your installation folder. The default location is C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Counter-Strike Global Offensive\game\csgo.

Now start Counter-Strike 2. Open the developer console. Enter the command playdemo “demo file name”.

At last, write demoui in the console for easy recording management. This command will toggle the visibility of the demo player UI. With the demo UI open, you can speed up and slow down the demo player, skip rounds, etc.

Note: The CS2 demos can sometimes show misrepresented character models. To resolve this issue, simply jump to the previous round in the viewer.
