SIOUX CITY, Iowa (CelebrityAccess) Spectra has announced Tim Savona as the new GM of the Tyson Events Center and Orpheum Theatre in Sioux City, Iowa.
Savona is expected to start Feb. 25.
Savona started his career with Spectra in 2009 at the Iowa Events Center in Des Moines where he served as an event manager and director of corporate partnerships. He joined the Budweiser Events Center in Loveland, Colo., as the assistant GM and director of events and most recently as the GM with Spectra at the Ford Idaho Center in Nampa, Idaho.
Savona is a two-time finalist for General Manager of the Year and 2018 Venue Of The Year Winner. In 2018, the Ford Idaho Center finished its fiscal year in the black under his direction, improving its budget by around $400,000 annually, the first time since opening its doors in 1997.
“Tim’s constant effort to engage fans, drive revenue, and build loyalty really makes him standout as a leader in the industry”, Spectra Regional VP Rick Hontz said. “His aggressive approach and established relationship with promoters and agents makes him the perfect candidate for the Tyson Events Center and Orpheum Theatre.”
Savona will be responsible for the overall management and staff of both the Tyson Events Center and Orpheum Theatre.
